Steelwings Zululand awards colours (the privilege of wearing the Steelwings Colors emblem) under the following conditions and when all criteria has been met as described hereunder:

- Attend at least three free rides with the Chapter (Saturday/Sunday);
- Ride to and attend at least one away weekend rally with the Chapter;
- Adhere to Disciplinary Codes;
- Acknowledge having read and understood the 'Constitution' as well as the 'Riding Code' of the Steelwings RSA Harley-Davidson Club.

The committee together with the Chapter will decide on the acceptance/rejection of application. (Refer to the Steelwings Constitution.)
